I changed the plants in my doorway this past summer. My goal was to use all-season planting that I do not have to change each year. I decided to go with hydrangeas. While they are great for the fall, with flowers and leaves that turn purple, hydrangeas are also very resistant and should last three seasons. In the fall, I potted them in terra-cotta pots right next to pumpkins to create a neat fall display.
